With a broody hero and a driven heroine, both who can’t wait to escape the lives they have found themselves in, this book took me through a whole range of emotions before bringing me to the happy place in my heart where we get the happy ever after. Achilles and Mycah were both so closed off it was hard to believe that either of them would open up. I loved watching Achilles grow closer to his brothers and see that bond strengthen. I hated watching Mycah have to deal with the family drama and the prejudices of her parents. But in the end, I loved watching Achilles and Mycah dig deep and recognize that their pasts didn’t need to determine their futures.
Another wonderful read with all the feels from Ms. Simone!
