The eldest of the three wealthy Garrett brothers, Reese Garrett is in the middle of a major purchase for his multimillion-dollar oil and gas company, Garrett Resources. The Poseidon offshore drilling platform venture will greatly enhance the company’s value.

But when Reese is on a trip out to see the rig, his helicopter crashes, leaving him hospitalized and two men dead. It’s discovered the chopper was sabotaged, and Reese is determined to find out who’s behind the crash—and whether he was the intended target. Then, when his lover, Kenzie, is accused of her ex-husband’s murder—a man with a vested interest in the Poseidon deal—clues start pointing to a connection that puts Reese, Kenzie and her young son in the sights of a killer.

From the Texas heat to the Louisiana bayous, Reese and his brothers must track down the truth before the body count gets any higher.

Another great read from Kat Martin! With action, danger and suspense, as well as romance, family, and friendship, The Perfect Murder had everything I’ve come to expect from a Kat Martin book!

This story starts off with a crash and continues with lots of action and suspense, all while the romance between Reese and Kenzie begins to heat up. There are many twists and turns, and although the bad guys were revealed fairly early, there was a lot going on that kept the story engaging and the pages turning.

I just love the close-knit Garrett family and how they are always there to offer love and support to each other, even when that means it may be tough-love and stepping in for a reality check or at times offering some military style back-up for a rescue mission. And even though Chase and Brandon may have had some reservations about Kenzie at first, once Reese made it clear he was all-in with Kenzie they followed suit and were there for her as well.

I really enjoyed Reese and Kenzie's story - you really can’t go wrong with a Kat Martin book!

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book I received from the publisher via NetGalley.
