Her Marine Next Door by Aliyah Burke - New Release and Giveaway

Her Marine Next Door
by Aliyah Burke
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: December 14, 2020

My next door neighbor Parker Jax is not my type. He’s covered in tats, rides a motorcycle, and his parties keep me up all night. The fact he’s sexy as sin doesn’t change the fact we are oil and water.

I’m a quiet artist. He’s a rowdy marine. I’ve got a broken heart. I’m convinced he doesn’t have a heart at all.

Thankfully, my bad-boy neighbor is on leave from the Marines for only thirty days. But then the jerk has to go and show me that he has a soft side beneath all those hard muscles. He actually leaves his own party to help me, and he didn’t even have to.
Fantastic. Now I owe him.

I’m not worried, though. What are the chances he’ll need me to do anything before the month is up?
But when a woman shows up with a kid at her side, knocking on Parker’s door, it turns out those chances are pretty good…

“What is your determining factor?”

“How it is to have sex with you in each row.” His response was so straightforward, she nearly believed him. “Three rows in each. That is me getting to enjoy you six times.” He speared her with his stare. “Before we get home.”

Her belly flipped and flopped like crazy.

“Feeling confident I see.”

He flicked on the turning signal and left the dealership lot. “Are you issuing a challenge to me, Skylar Radford?”

“Making a statement.”

He grunted.

Damn him for even making that hot and sexy. There had to be something wrong with her because she couldn’t find a way to muddle out of the gutter of sexual deviancy her mind was content to live in and reside when it came to thoughts of the man behind the wheel.

Both rides were fine, she had her favorite, liking the silver GMC Yukon Denali with the black leather interior better than the Ford, but she held her piece, this was for what he wanted, not her.

The salesman waited for them as he backed in the Yukon to where it had been. She smirked.

“What?”

She hopped out and met him at the hood of the vehicle. “Just proud of you honey for backing it in so nicely and not hitting anything. You know, what with all your issues driving in reverse.”

He narrowed his gaze in silent warning.

The third party there flicked his glance between them as if trying to figure out if this was a joke or something he needed to retreat for. When Parker smiled, he did too.

“Did you make up your mind? Find one of them you like better than the other?”

“I did,” he said easily, drawing her back to his side and stroking his fingers along her arm. An action that shot pulses of longing through her. “What about you, baby?”

His touch drifted lower until his fingertips rested on the edge of her waistband, teasing her skin.

“You’re going to be the one driving.”

“There is that,” he said with a wink. “I’m thinking about the kids though. I mean, soon, you’ll be pregnant again so we need to be able to transport more than one in comfort. Plus Alpin, he’ll want to come camping with us.”

“Kids?” her voice croaked.

“Right, and don’t forget the dog. I mean we have Cullen, but you promised we would be able to have our second soon. I’m hoping this time it will be twins.”

She exhaled slowly and pasted on a smile that should have warned him, truly it should have but she figured he was enjoying himself a bit to much to pay any credence to all the warning signs.

While the pain within her chest blossomed, she couldn’t be mad at him. Not without sharing why. So she decided to play along.

Skylar patted him on the arm. “Now, now, honey. Remember what the doctor said about your low count. Cullen may be our only one as he was a miracle.” She made sure her tone was sugar sweet and completely supportive.

Pretty sure Parker was turning a shade of green she didn’t know existed in the world, he flexed his fingers along her side.

“Give us a minute, will you, Ray?”

He nodded, his flushed cheeks stark against his otherwise pale skin, his slicked back hair falling forward until he shoved a manicured hand back through it, putting it all back in place. “Take your time.” He spun on the heel of his black wingbacks and walked off with an altogether unimpressive stride.

“Not nice, baby. That is a low blow.”

She blinked at him, never allowing her smile to slip. “Actually, it was about your low count. Besides, you started it.”

“When I get you back in that vehicle, I’m going to be finishing it too.”

Those words sounded a lot more like a promise than any threat she would ever hear from him. Damn her for being giddy about it.
