No Commitment by Lisa Suzanne - New Release

No Commitment
by Lisa Suzanne
Series: Capital Kingsmen, #1
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: December 10, 2020

No commitment. That was my deal with Tyler from the start, at least until his tour was over and we could be together. But thirty days filming a reality show here, two years overseas with his band there... Is it really any wonder why I didn’t tell him about the baby?

He comes looking for me once he’s back in the country, but he runs into the man I married instead. Eventually I agree to meet him so I can put the past truly behind me. When I see him, though, every feeling I held inside comes rushing back.

My husband and I vowed to raise this baby together. But as I find myself drifting away from the husband who stole my job and gravitating toward the rock star who stole my heart, I realize he deserves the truth.

I just have no idea how this rock star who doesn’t make commitments is going to react to the fact that he’s a father.

The moon was our thing. There’s something beautiful and romantic about the moon. When we’d get lonely because I was on tour, we’d both look up at the moon at the same time and have that feeling deep inside like we were together even though distance separated us.
There was just something about this story that found a soft spot in my heart for this couple and their hopes for a second chance – despite the fact that I am not a big fan of the secret baby. Lisa Suzanne has put together a heart-felt emotional read that featured flawed characters, bad decisions, and actions that would normally be too much for me to forgive, but somehow added enough depth and vulnerability to her characters to keep me invested in their story and their journey to find their happy ever after.

Needless to say, I was not a big fan of Dani’s once it became clear just how many people she hurt. Even though it was not intentional, it was disappointing how long she kept the news of the baby from Tyler. Tyler was not quite perfect, and I’m not even sure what his reaction would have been had she told him right away, but it was clear that by the time Dani comes back into his life he is looking for a reason to put down roots and make good on that commitment that both he and Dani were afraid to agree to when they first reconnected. His reaction to his daughter was just perfect and it was good to see him really take his time to figure out what and how he could feel about Dani once he learns the truth.

The Capital Kingsmen looks to be an interesting group of characters and it was fun getting to learn a bit about them – it will be interesting to learn more about each of them as the series continues.

Even though I did not like several of the plot points in this book, the characters and emotion that was written into the pages made this worth the read. If you are looking for a book with emotion and don’t mind the trope, this is one you should definitely pick up.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book I received from the author.
