Miles is Charlotte’s one and only weakness. He’s also her only hope…

To stop a Romanian crime lord and clear her name, British Intelligence officer Charlotte Carstons has no choice. She must track down former Navy SEAL Miles Duncan and ask for his help. Miles holds the key to completing her undercover assignment and proving she’s no traitor…but he also holds a grudge. Getting him to forgive her may be the most challenging mission of her life.

Charlotte is his fantasy woman. She’s also the biggest mistake of his career…

He was supposed to hunt her down. Instead Miles ended up at the mercy of the sexy, mysterious MI6 agent who left him without so much as a goodbye after their six-week love affair in the Carpathian Mountains. Back in the States and working as an operative for Shadow Force International, Miles has been searching for Charlotte ever since—and so has everyone else. She’s a traitor to her country and she may be responsible for the deaths of his SEAL teammates a year ago.

Together, they can save the world. Or destroy each other…

When Charlotte shows up on his doorstep asking for help, Miles knows better than to get involved. She's determined to go back to Romania with or without him, however, and he knows she’s walking into a deadly trap. Can he keep her safe as they travel across continents and explore the depth of their feelings for each other? Or will misplaced honor and treasonous loyalties prove fatal for them both?

Once again Misty Evans delivers a story that has the perfect mix of romance, suspense, action, and intrigue. The characters were well developed, the plot was believable, and I love the author’s writing style and voice.

Charlotte and Miles were great characters on their own, but together they were just fabulous. Both are highly skilled and trained agents, competent and capable, and able to protect and defend themselves. Together they had a chemistry that took all that to the next level. Even when Miles was trying to protect Charlotte and take the lead, he never minimized her ability to contribute or handle anything on her own (although I think Charlotte may disagree with me a bit on that point!) There was always an underlying current of sexual tension between Charlotte and Miles which kept the sparks flying between these two. The addition of Charlotte’s gypsy background added a wonderful layer to the book and has me wanting to know more about Charlotte’s relatives in the Carpathian Mountains!

Once again the secondary characters in the book added additional depth and color to the story, and it was great to catch up with some of the characters we met in Fatal Truth, the first book in the series. Beatrice still remains one of my all-time favorite heroines – even in a supporting role she often times steals the scene…I just love her! Watching the SFI agents when they work together is always a treat, from their unique personalities to the camaraderie and trust you can feel between the agents.

Fatal Honor was a wonderful second installment in her Shadow Force International series and has me anxiously awaiting the next book. Fatal Honor and the SFI series are perfect for anyone looking for a great romantic suspense book and series. The romance and suspense are woven into a wonderfully delivered plot that has plenty of intrigue and action that should appeal to just about anyone!

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.
