Cold Sight
by Leslie A. Kelly
Series: Extrasensory Agents, #1
Genre: Romantic Suspense w/Paranormal Elements
Release Date: September 28, 2016

Meet the Extrasensory Agents…a team of psychics who can solve the coldest of crimes!

Aidan McConnell once used his special psychic abilities to help find the missing. But after the media made him the scapegoat for a child’s death, he retreated from the world and became a recluse.

Lexie Nolan is a small-town reporter with big vision. She was the first to connect a series of disappearances among teenage girls to a serial killer…but nobody will listen to her.

Lexie is in desperate need of help from the sexy psychic who's an expert in finding people. And even though Aidan loathes the media, he can’t help being drawn in to the passionate, beautiful reporter.

Nor can he resist helping her on this particular case. Because he knows the latest missing girl.

And he knows time to save her is running out.

What a great read that satisfied my romantic suspense addiction as well as my love of the paranormal!

I always enjoy when the main characters start off rubbing each other the wrong way but still have that strong undercurrent of attraction. With Lexie being a reporter and Aidan’s past experiences with the press, it’s no wonder that he is less than pleasant when she comes to him seeking help. But once Aidan is pulled into the case, he’s as all in as Lexie is – and I loved watching them work together to find new clues. Aidan is a bit dark and broody and not at all a social type, but once you learn more about his ability and some of his experiences it’s easy to understand why he keeps himself at arm’s length from people. Lexie is committed to finding the truth but always toes the ethical line – which is one of the reasons Aidan eventually decides to help her with the case. I loved watching her brain work as she analyzed the information she gathered and was able to piece so many parts of the puzzle together. Together these two were great. They both respected each other’s abilities – which could have been a stretch once Lexie got a first hand look at what Aidan could do. I wasn’t sure about how they would fit together at first, but by the end of the book it was so easy to see how these two belonged together. Their romance was a bit fast and furious when it came to the physical side of things once they finally gave in to their attraction, but emotionally these two had a harder time coming to terms that their feelings for each other ran deep enough for their relationship to be something long term and solid and a risk worth taking.

Being the first book in the series, there was a bit of backstory to set the series up. There were some flashbacks and details that slowed Aidan and Lexie’s story down a bit, but in the end, they served their purpose by pulling me in to the series. I loved meeting the additional Extrasensory Agents and learning more about them and what they can do – and I can’t wait to read the next books in this series so I can find out about each of them!

Overall, this was a great read – a bit heavy and dark at times due to the subject matter, but one that pulled me in and has me queuing up the next book in the series.
