Shelter for Nita
by Deanndra Hall
Series: Bluegrass Bravery, #10
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Release Date: May 11, 2021
Set adrift after her parents pass away, Nita Yoder is lonely and sad. Even with friends like Tanna and Braden “Monkey” Nichols and their two boys, she longs for someone to make a life with.
So does Ansel “Dip” Watts. When the EMT meets the disabled teacher’s aide, he’s instantly attracted to her beautiful smile and her soft, gentle demeanor. He’s surprised when he finds a snarky, hard-headed woman under it all, and the challenge she brings to him is something he welcomes.
What’s not welcome are the advances of a fellow teacher. Nita thinks Ansel’s just jealous, but the EMT is a good judge of character, and he’s sure the man is not who and what he claims to be. Nita won’t listen, but sending Ansel away doesn’t mean he won’t keep trying to do something, anything, that will keep her safe.
It’s not one of those things Ansel wants to be right about, but when he is, it’ll take him, Braden, and FBI Special Agent Cruz Livingston to launch a plan that will save Nita’s life. The clock is ticking, and Ansel chooses to follow the plan, even if it kills him.
As if he has a choice.
Deanndra Hall is a working author living in the far western end of the beautiful Bluegrass State with her husband of over 35 years and small menagerie of weird little dogs. When she’s not writing, she’s editing. When she’s doing neither of those two things, she’s having dinner with friends, spending time with family, kayaking, eating chocolate, drinking beer or moonshine, or looking for something that she put in the wrong place and can’t seem to find (which is pretty much everything she owns).
