Review - An Almost Perfect Christmas by Donna Fasano

An Almost Perfect Christmas
by Donna Fasano
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: September 30, 2014

When it comes to business, Aaron Chase knows how to succeed. But when his daughter, Izzie, asks him for the perfect family Christmas, the handsome widower feels at a loss about how to make his little girl's dream come true.

Pediatric Nurse Christy Cooper has dedicated her life to taking care of children. She agrees to act as Izzie's stand-in mom for this special holiday and throws herself into making the child's Christmas wish a reality. Maybe this selfless act will somehow alleviate her secret regrets and failures of the past.

The holiday is filled with fun and laughter, and it's amazing how three short days can be so life-changing. When the impish eight-year-old talks the adults into acting out a silly, make-believe wedding, young Izzie is certain the magic of the season will turn the pretend vows into the real thing. The little girl wants her daddy to have Christmas in his life--every single day.

5 Stars doesn't even begin to capture just how much I loved this book. Donna Fasano’s writing is flawless, her story is emotionally charged, her characters are multi-dimensional and real, and this book is just….perfect! This book is novella length, but the story is paced perfectly and fills just the right amount of pages.

It’s not often that a book can move me to tears, but what struck me as rare was the author’s ability to not just evoke one emotion at a time within me, but her ability to have me feeling multiple emotions at once – smiling like a fool while I was crying, having my heart ache while feeling such hope, or feeling dread at what I knew was coming while being optimistic at what the future would hold.

Thank you Donna Fasano – this book is by far my most favorite read of the year and a true reminder of what is important in life and the fact that even though we may experience sadness, there is so much to be truly thankful for if we just open our hearts and minds to what is around us and live in the moment.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.
