Although I found this book a bit confusing in the beginning, as the story "Untangled", I really enjoyed the ride that Melissa A. Smith took me on. I enjoyed the “realness” of the characters and how the imperfections of the relationships in the book are described – these characters and their situations were very realistic to me.
I just loved watching Hana grow as a character, finding her own two feet and realizing that she deserved more. Brady was just…everything you would want to find in a man, even with some of his imperfections. And that Dean – if I could have reached into my Kindle and slapped that man aside the head…he’d have a permanent imprint of my hand on his face!
I think the reason I found the book a bit confusing in the beginning had to do with all the characters and trying to keep them straight. You are just kind of thrown into the two relationships without a lot of backstory, so it took a bit to get everything sorted out in my mind as to who was who. As I said, once I got it all sorted, I really enjoyed the story and watching two people find each other and realize that there is a whole lot more to love then they realized.
I was given a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.
Always nice when you feel a realness to the story or characters :)
ReplyDeleteThere was something about the dialogue and personalities that made me think these could be real people (and I think I know a couple of them - especially the one I wanted to smack! LOL!)
