Review - Untangle My Heart by Melissa A. Smith

Untangle My Heart
by Melissa A. Smith
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: September 14, 2014

Four people, minus two relationships, equals one perfect pair.

When a chance mix up tosses everything into the air, everyone is caught off guard. The only thing you can do then is stand back and wait for things to settle so you can untangle the mess.

Although I found this book a bit confusing in the beginning, as the story "Untangled", I really enjoyed the ride that Melissa A. Smith took me on. I enjoyed the “realness” of the characters and how the imperfections of the relationships in the book are described – these characters and their situations were very realistic to me.

I just loved watching Hana grow as a character, finding her own two feet and realizing that she deserved more. Brady was just…everything you would want to find in a man, even with some of his imperfections. And that Dean – if I could have reached into my Kindle and slapped that man aside the head…he’d have a permanent imprint of my hand on his face!

I think the reason I found the book a bit confusing in the beginning had to do with all the characters and trying to keep them straight. You are just kind of thrown into the two relationships without a lot of backstory, so it took a bit to get everything sorted out in my mind as to who was who. As I said, once I got it all sorted, I really enjoyed the story and watching two people find each other and realize that there is a whole lot more to love then they realized.

I was given a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

  1. Always nice when you feel a realness to the story or characters :)

  2. There was something about the dialogue and personalities that made me think these could be real people (and I think I know a couple of them - especially the one I wanted to smack! LOL!)
