How to Quit Your Crush is my ninth published book, but it’s also a first.
My first companion novel!
Mai appeared in ANNOUNCING TROUBLE as I wrote that book during the summer of 2017. She was crushing on a baseball player who was all wrong for her. But whatever. This wasn’t her story.
Then my editor, Stacy, said she would really like to know Mai’s story. In fact, would I please write a follow up about Mai and Anthony?
I loved the idea. But…I hadn’t thought it through. As I thought more about Mai and Anthony, their story startled to bubble up inside of me. Kind of like their attraction.
I wrote HOW TO QUIT YOUR CRUSH in the summer of 2019. It took me about 4 months and then another 3 months to do revisions. There were a lot of challenges to a follow up, but also some unexpected joys. I loved visiting with Josie, Garrett and their other friends again.
I hope you’ll love it just as much.
