Assignment Danger
by Rebecca York
Series: Off-World, #4
Genre: Paranormal Science Fiction
Release Date: January 26, 2015
Jack Younger agrees to risk his life when he takes on a dangerous undercover assignment. He doesn’t count on his old love, Sophia DeAngelo ending up in the middle of the action. What if he has to choose between fulfilling his mission and saving her life?
I really enjoyed this story. It was fast-paced, had lots of action and suspense, and even had a nice romance between two people who shared a past. The planet of Danalon and the world that has been created was laid out nicely in the book, and I loved the slang and language that was created to make the story feel more authentic to taking place in another world.
Jack and Sophia were a great hero and heroine. Even though this was a relatively short novella, we got to see Sophia grow into a very strong character and I loved watching her help Jack come to terms with the person he has become. Jack was strong, smart, and protective – especially when his undercover assignment lands him in the middle of a botched robbery and he finds himself having to protect Sophia.
I have enjoyed many other Rebecca York books and this one did not disappoint. I’m looking forward to reading the other books in the series and learning more about this “Off-World” that she has created.
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
